Do you think there is a leak in your swimming pool?

Conduct a simple “Bucket Test”

WE DETECT

A leaking pool is more than just a headache for the homeowner. While the pool owner faces high water bills, excessive chemical usage, and the risk of additional structural damage, us – as your pool professional – are faced with the equivalent of finding a needle in a haystack.

Water loss volume

The ultra-sensible water level sensor could detect water loss less than a gallon from a 14′ x 28′ swimming pool. An analysis with a this advanced sensor will be conducted before and after our intervention to confirm that all of the leaks have been found and water level no longer drops.

Pressure test

To confirm if there is a leak in the circulation system, the suction lines (skimmer, main drain, etc.) and pressure lines (return water, waterfall, SPA, etc. ) will be subject to measurable pressure. A drop in pressure will indicate its presence. Then a listen device will be used to locate the leaks.

Pinpoint underground leak

If leak is in the plumbing section of the pool, the effective ‘sonic location’ method will be used to pinpoint the leak of buried line. We create a distinct sound at the leak that can be detected with sophisticated listening device designed to pick up vibrations in the ground.

Structural leak

The dye test is used to locate a structural leak of your swimming pool. With the circulation OFF, this test will let a very small amount dye out into the crack, be in a light niche, under a fitting, near a skimmer or main drain, etc. The hydrophone is another option to listen the noise along the pool’s wall.

Vinyl Liner leak

Visually inspecting every inch of liner itself is a possibility. However, we use an innovative electronic vinyl liner leak detector to find even the smallest leaks in the most complicated liner patterns without lowering the water level. The detection can also be performed in a fiberglass pool.

Inground and aboveground

We carry out the detection and repair of water leaks in inground pools (vinyl liner, concrete, fiberglass pool) and above ground pools. We guarantee every leak in the pool will be found. When it comes to repair, work will be done in different ways depending on the leaks and their locations found.

“The equipment is not the pool leak detector, it is the person using it. We will go through all of the steps eliminating every leak possibility” – explained by Carlos, the senior technician of Piscine HQC.
